ABBEVILLE. . .Ruby Wilson Money, a resident of County Road 132, Abbeville, died Friday morning, April 27, 2012, at her home. She was 83.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, April 28, 2012, in the Holman-Abbeville Mortuary Chapel with Reverend Thomas D. Gamble and Reverend Mike Lee officiating. Burial will follow in the Pilgrim’s Rest Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 P.M. Saturday at the mortuary in Abbeville.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Covenant Hospice, 104 Rock Bridge Road, Dothan, AL. 36303.
Mrs. Money was a lifelong resident of the Pilgrim’s Rest community of Henry County, daughter of the late Oscar Daniel Wilson and Louise Cummings Wilson. She was a member of the Pilgrim’s Rest Free Will Baptist Church. Mrs. Money was a retired employee of WestPoint Stevens. After her retirement, she was employed by the Abbeville Piggly Wiggly and also as Food Service Supervisor at the Clay County Nursing Home in Ft. Gaines. Mrs. Money was preceded in death by three brothers, Rodney Wilson, Victor Wilson and Shell Wilson.
Surviving relatives include her husband, Earl Wayne Money, Abbeville; three sisters, Margaret Kirkland and husband, James, Webb, AL; Patsy Knight and Peggy Payne and husband, Dorsey, all of Abbeville; three brothers, Roy Wilson and wife, Judy, and J. W. Wilson and wife, Linda, all of Abbeville; and Steve Wilson, Jack, AL; an aunt, Thelma Hancock, Abbeville; and a sister-in-law, Kathleen Wilson, Abbeville; numerous nieces and nephews including a special nephew, Greg Wilson, Abbeville
Serving as active pallbearers will be Wayne Money, Jeff Money, Ed Davis, Tanner Knight, Blake Knight, Jody Knight and J.W. Money.
