William Thomas (Billy) Beasley

MIDLAND CITY. . . William Thomas (Billy) Beasley, a resident of County Road 67, Midland City, died Wednesday afternoon, April 11, 2012, in a Dothan hospital. He was 69.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, April 13, 2012, in the New Hope Free Will Baptist Church, near Echo, with Reverend Frank Fagan and Dr. Carl Warden officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Holman-Headland Mortuary is in charge of funeral arrangements. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. Thursday at the mortuary in Headland. Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to New Hope Free Will Baptist Church c/o Joann Ammons, 508 County Road 46, Midland City, AL 36350. Mr. Beasley was born and reared in Abbeville where he lived until moving to Dale County, near Midland City, in 1970. Mr. Beasley was a 1960 graduate of Abbeville High School and served his country in the Army National Guard in the Abbeville unit. He was retired as an Aircraft Painter from Pemco World Air Services at Napier Field. Mr. Beasley was preceded in death by his father, Tom Wallace Beasley and a brother, Larry Beasley. Surviving relatives include two daughters, Jennifer Joy Beasley Lomaneck and Stephanie Beasley Messick, both of Midland City; his mother, Mary Lou Beasley, Abbeville; three grandchildren, Mileah Lomaneck, Shelton Messick and Shane Messick; a sister-in-law, Jeannetta Beasley, Abbeville; the mother of his children, Melba Corbin Beasley, Midland City; a special niece and nephew, Allison (Aggie) Bradley, Abbeville and Larry (Bo) Beasley, Dothan. Serving as active pallbearers will be Lanny Long, Ranny Long, Eddie Bradshaw, Larry Webb, Tyler Barron and Billy Wayne Bedsole.
